I don't think its so much us that needs to worry. By us, I mean you're typical reader/poster: middle class *white* america. We have the resources to predict, prevent and profit from said situations.
This case is permission to take advantage of lower class and minorities ala post-war slum lords. They do not have the resources (money, connections, education et al) to prevent getting screwed.
Is this how they argued Plessy v. Ferguson? Don't you see it, its racisim all over again.
